Susan Isaacs

Susan Isaacs is a writer and comedienne with many credits in TV, film, stage, and radio including Planes Trains & Automobiles, Seinfeld, and My Name Is Earl. She is an alumnus of the Groundlings performing company, written TV specials for DirecTV, and has read her original essays on NPR's Weekend America. Susan spent this fall on Donald Miller's A Million Miles tour, performing a portion of her solo show based on her memoir, Angry Conversations With God, in which she takes God to marriage counseling. Publisher's Weekly calls it "funny, biting, earthy and brilliant." Sarcastic and vulnerable, even at its most scandalous, Angry Conversations with God remains a refreshing affirmation of faith. Susan has spoken at the International Arts Movement Encounter, Pepperdine University, the BIOLA Media Conference, and teaches screenwriting for the Act One Program. In 2010, Susan is mounting a full-length version of her solo show, which is available to tour. She is also available to speak and lead workshops in writing, comedy, and acting.

Tony Hale

Tony Hale developed his strong, national fan base with his hilarious role as 'Buster Bluth' on Fox Television's smart, Emmy Award-winning series “Arrested Development.” During his college years, Tony became a follower of Christ. Little did he know how important the assurance, sovereignty and love of God would be as the foundation he needed to face life and the uncertainties of the entertainment business which would become his career. When speaking to Christian audiences, Tony strives to help listeners understand the power and sway of false motivations, and the perils of obtaining ones professional goals only to discover that real value is found in family, friends and the timeless message of the Gospel. Tony receives his best response when he tells his own story, how he reached his goals, what that trek cost him and what he’s learned along the way. Without fail, the Question and Response that takes place throughout his presentation is energetic, honest, engaging and helpful. Since “Arrested Development” is a fan favorite for many people, when time permits, a 20-minute screening of a specific episode before or after the presentation becomes a useful source to launch conversation. Some of her most recent events have included, The Festival of Faith and Writing at Calvin College, Baylor University, Abilene Christian University Summit, Gordon College, Eastern Nazarene College, Hope International University, Big Tent Christianity, The Southern Festival of Books, and Soularize. Among his six books are the culturally-relevant The Gospel Reloaded, coauthored with Greg Garrett, The Gospel According to Tony Soprano, and Faith of My Fathers. Each evening, the audience will watch an episode of the final season of LOST and discuss the clash between faith and reason, on the island and in real life; the struggle with guilt that consumes each character—and sometimes us, too; the dichotomy between fatalism and fate, and what the Bible advises; and how being lost—on an island or in society—presents an opportunity for reinvention that liberates some and paralyzes others.
